Garden and Pipeline Road

As at the beginning of my visit to Panama, I close it with another stay at the Mateo residence not only great value for money but welcoming and overborne with wildlife - here's just some of what was seen during the brief visit.
LEMON-RUMPED TANAGER

GREY-HEADED TANAGER
FLAME-RUMPED TANAGER
CRIMSON-BACKED ANT-TANAGER
WHITE-TIPPED DOVE
and at long last, discernible shots of
NORTHERN WATERTHRUSH
WHOOPING MOTMOT
RUFOUS-TAILED HUMMINGBIRD
along with VIOLET-BELLIED HUMMINGBIRD, a trip addition, were enjoying the garden feeder.
male SUMMER TANAGER
RED-LEGGED HONEYEATER
while a LESSER GREENLET almost escaped the lens!
another unidentified female EUPHONIA I fear
but a definite PALM TANAGER
I was wondering just what the 'Garden List' was when
Californians Leah and David Diller arrived.
They had already booked a late afternoon walk at
the 'world renowned' Pipeline Road and kindly invited me along.
Our Guide MARCIEL
WHITE-NECKED JACOBIN male
Ditto male and female
LONG-BILLED HERMIT
WHITE-NECKED JACOBIN female
AND MALES AGAIN, HAD ENOUGH YET?
VIOLET-BELLIED HUMMINGBIRD
and the nest of WHOOPING MOTMOT
before we ascended the 176 steps of the 32 metre high Canopy Tower The view across the tree-tops was stunning but what birds were there were few and far between and always distant.

A female BLUE DACNIS
was soon joined by the male as up to a dozen
PURPLE-THROATED FAIRY (Hummingbirds) fed on distant blossom.
I guess like me, the reader will find this most interesting.
A TROPICAL GNATCATCHER was ummm, catching gnats
as another LESSER GREENLET
was being far more cooperative than the one in the garden.

WHITE-SHOULDERED TANAGER
This LIZARD displayed
as KEEL-BILLED TOUCAN 'leked' some way off
while MEALY PARROTs
conducted flight tumbling operations before finally going to roost.
What a great idea ZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzz!
