The Wall - Pink Floyd

PLEASED DO NOT BE LULLED INTO A FALSE SENSE
THAT ALL IS WELL IN 'LAPTOPVILLE' AS IT ISN'T QUITE YET.
HOWEVER, WE ARE MAKING MUCH HEADWAY TO GETTING THERE
AND ARE NOW ABLE TO EDIT AND DOWNLOAD OUR IMAGES.
Having travelled ¾ of the way around the World and half way back in the last week it was understandable that Jean-Francois was in little mood to be wandering round the Moth Traps at day break, but my routine remained the same as he slept off the jet-lag!
The only Firsts for the Year were a fine looking
 TAWNY SPECKLED PUG
 along with a
MARBLED GREEN
while the Best of the Rest were made up by
 BIRD'S WING
 YELLOW-BARRED BRINDLE
and
BIRCH MOCHA
By the time identifying, photographing, editing etc were completed
J-F was out of the hammock and raring to go, albeit on a sedate paced
introduction to Parley Court Farm.
As the Sand Martin 'WALL'

was still active a couple of days before his arrival

it was considered the best place to start

and we were not disappointed.
Even at this late date in the season and among all of the noise of plant
and traffic there were still 'dozens'

of Birds zooming about
but best of all had to be the

Juveniles
just look at those feather markings!
We make no apology for lingering on the subject
as since then they have all disappeared vacating the nest site for
warmer climbs no doubt.
Before their return next year we will be hoping for some determined discussions
with the ECO Management
to maintain this vital breeding area.
As far as the laptop is concerned, we feel we have pushed our luck
far enough for the first day back so will leave you with the latest from the
Trail Cameras
GREEN WOODPECKER

again a juvenile
in all its glory.
MANANA!
