Kind Hearts and Coronets - 1949

The day started in proper fashion with yet another single

Again a steady trickle from the Moth Traps with 'singularly' the one we have been awaiting

was accompanied by its 'larger' close cousin

while at the gateway to Compound 13 another tale of the unexpected as a

CETTI'S WARBLER
betrayed its whereabouts by a burst of song before it hove into view

with the 'strange' being there is no watercourse of any description here, their usually favoured habitat! Add to that another couple of sort after Moths both

BORDERED PUG

along with a 'kind-hearted'

CORONET

 continued the decent start, while at the Gravel Pit at least a single

REED WARBLER
in full voice was yet another bonus while

for a 4th day what has become the local

RAVAN
was posing once again. Back to base and part of  what is considered to be a 500 strong

STARLING FLOCK

were magnanimously allowing a couple of

HOUSE SPARROWs
to share the strategically placed spoiles!
