The Fine Line Between Love and Haiti - Part IV

Among the deprivation and lack of basic needs there did seem to be that upbeat feel about everyone I met across Haiti and felt to have seen the best of it, but there was one final surprise to that last day (Sunday).  Along with all of Ernso and Gina's family, Brandon and a whole bunch of other friends we all mustered at

with eyes seeming a little blurred even before finding our places, but even better a 'massive goody' before getting through the main gate
NORTHERN POTO
a nocturnal species not dissimilar to our own Nightjar only larger.
The most fantastic thing about the whole Restaurant
cum Nightclub with limited accommodation and
CAVE SWALLOWs
nesting under the eves and which can be found breeding under most road and rail bridges througout much of the America's, is that 90% of the construction materials were recycled even down to the
 NiftyWine Glasses
confiding and opportunist
PALM WARBLER
before taking a
peek
inside and out again to find the ubiquitous
RUFOUS-COLLARED SPARROWs
while it would be readily agreed by 'both parties' that Brandon and I hit it off from the very start.
I'd rather have a full bottle in front of me,
than a full frontal lobotomy!
ZENAIDA DOVE
Unfortunately as the Wine went in the Wit went out
HISPANIOLAN EMERALD
(endemic)
and
BANANAQUIT
widespread and numerous.
The first members of the Band to show up with the wine having left the others out!
VILLAGE WEAVER
introduced from Southern Africa
and again another great favourite, oh for one in the UK
BLACK and WHITE WARBLER
Wuthering Heights
WORM-EATING WARBLER
Brandon with All his Mates!
and as a final farewell to Port-au-Prince and Haiti at large
YELLOW-FACED GRASSQUIT
THE END
