There was little or no moderation as we arrived on the Heath but a hint of things looking up as we found all the Home Fires burning brightly.
Nothing new to add to the annual count but 'all' have a beauty of the own with the most eye-catching from the morning haul being

which doubles its delight when showing the smallest hint
from where it takes its name along with a darkish version of
BIRCH MOCHA
Otherwise, we can only report that the Heath is now swathed in a carpet of

before refering to
Clement Clarke Moore and "A Visit from St Nicholas
