We Plough the Fields and Scatter - Hymn

It has been a while now since they
Ploughed the Fields and Scattered the Good Seed on the Land
but at long last we know bring the story to you.
4 days of intensive activity as the 3 largest fields on
Parley Court Farm
succumbed to the blades attracting a small wealth of Wildlife.
 After the early morning
 C-130 Hercules Transport
had passed overhead, first to arrive
 and follow the tractor were
BLACK-HEADED GULL
forcing us to stop and take stock of what else might be about.
Worth walking the furrows for a short time, we found a
VIOLET GROUND BEETLE
(not to be confused with a 'Violent' Ground Beetle)
before turning our attention to the other Birds where both
HERRING and LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL
where in attendance.
 HERRING GULL
LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL
this one with a 'club-foot'.
All 3 of the more common species of Gull
Black-headed, Lesser Black-backed and Herring Gulls
Mixed Gulls
Among them were the odd
WHEATEAR
The Corvides were represented by
JACKDAW
 There was also a
COMMON BUZZARD
to be found amidst all these frenzied feeders,
but the
King's of the Castle,
for me at least
were the host of beautiful looking
MEDITERRANEAN GULLs
Additionally, on that day there was just a single addition to the
Annual Moth List
