Our Man In Havana - Graham Greene

A pleasant night at sea arriving
HAVANA, CUBA at 06:00.
Previous experiences here were enough to know that any serious birding would require a long drive and with chances of seeing the world's smallest bird (Bee Hummingbird) on the Caribbean's largest Island being just short of nil it was decided on a sedate walk around what had previously been a most pleasing city. Mostly a 'pictorial' today, with a few random shots from 8 Deck while awaiting Immigration to issue Visas.
Lots of adult LAUGHING GULLs but this was about the closest.
The city is awash with old cars from the USA
SANDWICH/CAYENNE TERNs were also stand-offish.
Over the rooftops and houses
Lost as it tries to be seen
Fields of incentive
Covered with green (not Graham)
Entangled - Genesis, Trick of a Tail
Keeping the Sea-Ways clean
It'll be nice when it's finished!

Resting BROWN PELICANs
I know these images will bring back some fond memories to my
dear friend Andy Lindsay of Cuba Libras, Cohiba Cigars
and Hairy Legs - private joke!

Obscured By Clouds - Pink Floyd
It's the end of the day and the Clouds roll away.
Battle of Epping Forest - Genesis
I have seen a number of these during my wanderings
but nothing like on this scale.
