The Shape of Things to Come - H.G. Wells

The Heading refers to the fact that almost any of the creatures
featured could turn up at a site near you!
SURE PICKED THE RIGHT DAY TO BE BUSY INDOORS
During those seemingly endless days of foul, wet weather we utilised the 'stay in-doors' time to methodically sort and edit some of the World Photograph Archive. Many will remember my 3 year association with the wonderful country of Estonia and my friend Ille Kallaste which simply could not go without selecting a few images from those 'heady' days to 'fill in' during this busy period.
ESTONIA
Ille lives in Tallin but owns a farm close to Viljandi further south.
All of the following images were taken on the farm or within
a one mile radius.
ENNU FARMHOUSE
and Garden.
Plus 50 hectares of prime woodland and mostly redundant pasture.
Some of the creatures we found there and elsewhere in that fine country.
BLACKBIRD
MAP BUTTERFLY
BLYTH'S REED WARBLER
 BRILLIANT EMERALD DRAGONFLY
Breeding
COMMON REDSTART
COMMON ROSEFINCH
flanked by
WHINCHAT
COMMON ROSEFINCH
CUCKOO
The Lady of the Forest.
A spectacular sight rarely seen in Great Britain, breeding
FIELDFARE
Man About Town?
FROG
and even the occasional
GOLDEN EAGLE
HOPE YOU ARE READING THIS ILLE, VERY MUCH IN MY THOUGHTS!
PS - there are more images to come.

  3. NOW! I'm sure you'll both believe me when I tell you I knew that, but would it come to mind? It's about the only 'mainland' European Butterfly I do know, so over to you.
    Yours aye and with Thanks
