If Not For You - George Harrison

With absolutely no relevance to the content of this post at all,
If Not For You - (Link)
has simply been my 'song of the moment' recently.
However, If Not For You - No Point Having a Blog!
Many Thanks All Round.
A few images and video clips have accumulated over the past few days,
so maybe an appropriate moment to do a catch up Post.
Milky and Misty Sunrises over the past couple of days
and with overnight temperatures continuing to hover in lower double figures,
a few returns from the traps - not all Moths.
BRINDLED PUG
A selection of variations on
CLOUDED DRAB
A considered rather small
GREAT DIVING BEETLE
and then a most unexpected but welcome find on the Heath what looks like
a 'juvenile'
SAND LIZARD
lacking the brighter 'green' colouration
of an adult.
Not under a cover at all but perched just outside
basking in what sunshine there was
it allowed me to remove the cover which was just across its tail
then didn't move a muscle
when sitting beside it.
BOG MYRTLE
still in 'winter plumage' but showing some signs of new growth.
Bleached Fox droppings
(we hope you are not having your breakfast)
SLOW WORMS
now very much on the increase but we still await a
Smooth Snake.
GREY HERON
and
juvenile
MUTE SWAN
on Parley Pond
while Chris Sugden has been busily planting another 300 yards of
HEDGEROWS
close to the Solar Panel Compounds.
COAL TIT
and
CHIFFCHAFF
now in full voice
on a daily basis and
LINNET
taking full advantage of the by-product of the recently arrived Sheep
as nesting material
There is lamb's wool under my naked feet.
the wool is soft and warm gives off some kind of heat!
LONG-TAILED TIT
also
feathering their own nest followed by a sight not noted before the
BELTED GALLOWAY CALF
suckling!
The COOTs at the Irrigation Pond have laid the
First Foundations and
 BLACK ANT COLONY
are springing up everywhere.
BLUE TIT
LITTLE RINGED PLOVER
in the Solar Panel Compound
look set to stay and we will be keeping you posted.
c3 summer plumage
LITTLE GREBE
have been something of a strange sight at the Gravel Pit
3 x
STONECHAT
with a gaping, not singing
MEADOW PIPIT
An all too short visit to
PORTLAND BILL
came up with nothing more than a couple of
ROCK PIPIT
a distant Great Skua to far to bother raising the camera
and a couple of clips of the sea.
looking towards
PULPIT ROCK
SUNSET
