Now, imagine finding one of these at
Penn Castle or Lorton Lane Wood.

Of all the 'Warbler' type birds here, the most mobile, difficult to see, keep out of your way, not to be photographed is American Redstart. Of the sexes most difficult seems to be the male, of which c8 have been recorded thus far and double that number females

with just this one falling to the camera.

There had been time for some 'birding', in the garden and nearby forest, before Ernso took me on another tour of the town. Just as well really as the first bird encountered, in one of the tall garden trees, was a 'Lifer'
