Only time for a short wander around
the property before Hugh and I head for Heathrow Airport, hence the
early post. It had been hoped that a milder evening might have brought a
few Moths to the 3 traps set last night, but unfortunately temperatures
plummeted resulting in not a single Insect being caught AGAIN!
A terrific SUNRISE viewed through the branches of WILLOWS
along the banks of the RIVER STOUR.
Only early HOUSE SPARROWs seemed to be on the wing
before the COBHAM JET AIRCRAFT
heading off no doubt for the 'Thursday War' practise with the
Royal Navy.
It was predominantly 'Thrushes' in the garden this morning
but only this very poor image of a SONG THRUSH. Others
on parade included Fieldfare, Blackbird, Redwing and Robin.
For the last couple of days I had been intending to see how work
on the Solar Panels had been progressing, and in the Main Yard
plant and other vehicular traffic had increased dramatically.
A little further on the Security Fence Brigade
had been hard at it
having already erected along 2 sides of the first 100 acre field.
On the way I spotted JANET taking FLIPPER for a walk,
(SEE YOU SOON JANET)
(SEE YOU SOON JANET)
while back at her stables much progress was seen on the
'New Build'
with the first roof panels heading aloft before the frost had thawed.
Looks like the 'Little Gentleman in the Black Velvet Waistcoat'
is
back on (or under) the Parley lawns! So called as 'toasted' by the
Jacobites when King William III died in 1702 of pneumonia following a
broken collar bone after a
fall from his horse. It is said that the horse had stumbled on a
mole hill starting the King's condition much to the delight of his arch
enemies afore mentioned.
Just a single LILY BLOOM now survives in the garden.
Hope to talk again tomorrow from our new destination!
