No Surprises - Radiohead

 The last remnants of the

accompanied by Venus leaving the early morning sky, the new day was heralded by a
TAWNY OWL
providing the vocals in the tree right next to Slight Return II

Having not activated the Moth Traps on the Heath, again due to impending foul weather, we were pleased not to have done so with those closer to home as within was a

right on time and 'first for the year'

From there onward it was a case of
No Alarms and No Surprises - as Radiohead might put it, but as ever there was something to please both ear and eye.

The 4 patches mowed in late Winter have more than fulfilled thier function, as the cuttings were transported to other sites in Dorset where it is hoped the seeds with take hold and in years to come form new heathlands and........
