Davy's on the Road Again - Manfred Mann's Earth Band

A 'brilliant' vocal rendition by Chris Thompson
We'll have to start by taking a wander back a few days to last
weekend when our friend
 DAVE FOOT
paid us something of a quickly arranged but most welcome visit, and
with it a remainder of some of his foraging efforts back in the Spring.
Considered now to be the one that nearly got away
 SOUTHERN CHESTNUT
may never have reached the Record Book had it not been for
Dave's timely reminder.
He also brought with him a bit of decent weather
with just a couple of showers plus a
DOUBLE RAINBOW
with
Alexander's Band (LINK)
just about visible.
That was also the day of some good Fungi such as
 BROWN ROLL RIM
 FALSE CHANTERELLE
FALSE DEATHCAP
 OYSTERLETS
 and
SHAGGY INK-CAP
THANKS FOR THE ID's DAVE!
Back to the present and still a few things gracing the
Moth Traps
2 shade variations of
YELLOW-LINE QUAKER
 and similarly
FEATHERED THORN
GARDEN CARPET
was unexpected
while it was interesting to note that there are still a few
 HORNET
to be seen.
 ICHNEUMON WASP
There was also this unidentified Fly overcome by
ENTOMOPHTHORS MUSCAE
which is a species of Fungus which causes a fatal disease in Flies.
We saw numerous examples of this last year, but so far this has been
the only recorded occurrence here in 2015.
We also have Phase Four of the Solar Panel Farm underway now
with these 2 images taken 3 days ago
with this one showing the progress since.
OK, agreed a cultivar but nonetheless this
SUMAC, perhaps more commonly know as STAGHORN,
is at its optimum best right now.
A brief and not very well lit snippet of a
KESTREL in Hover,
and what has now become a daily feature
on the Lawn Tennis Court
a feeding
GREEN WOODPECKER
with a bit of
footage.
