from the depths of the traps and while not overley eye-catching both were destined for the
Year List!
After a Brief Encounter with a juvenile hen

PHEASANT
we headed for the Sewerage works where all that was found

was a welcome bunch of returning

BLACK-HEADED GULLs
most likely from Poole harbour in the south than anything to do with
EXODUS.

A brief stop to take in the blue-blooms of our first

CHICORY
of the year which will certainly not be the last of this common plant.

Within the Solar Panel Compound the temporary residents

a couple of

WHEATEAR

heading in the direction of the

EQUATOR

but not before 'bunkering'

on the ready and ample supply of Invertibrates across this rich pasture!

With little else to keep us we wandered down to the
Maize Fields

but more to investigate what the 'subsiduary crop' might be?

No difficulty in identifying
PUMPKIN
which we are given to believe are for the Halloween Market?
