On the Crest of a Wave

 Well a 'third' gone already and Summer still hasn't visited us full force as when not drizzling it's blowning, and when neither the nights remain chill, but as usuall something happens along

while first out of the Moth Traps a succession of Small Fry,
but all First's for the Year, starting with
DWARF CREAM WAVE
SMALL SCALLOP
SINGLE-DOTTED WAVE
TAWNY-BARRED ANGLE
drawing us closer to the 300 Macro Moth Mark now having reached 272!
Most of the rest of the day kept us close to home and mainly in the garden attracted by what might be described as the Second Generation of Bird Song and maybe pointing to new nestlings?
COMMON WHITETHROAT
here have already seen a decent return on their efforts with a number of
JUVENILES
some trying out their vocals
before another case of Foot in the Mouth.
It was not many days ago that we reported the lack of activity from the
European Cargo Fleet
when one cut across our none to blue sky.
Next of the Garden Songsters  were a 'pair' of
BLACKCAP
(female)
while at the Main Pond the
CANADA GOSLINGs
still growing apace with the
BINDEWEED
looking at its best while by no means 'daily' or even 'monthly'
something of a stranger in the camp by way of a lone
NUTHATCH
while it's true to say that the
BUDDLLIAH
(or Butterfly Bush)
ain't looking bad either while dependent on point of view,

particularly in the garden
again partly vocal a
LESSER WHITETHROAT
