Insect Royalty - Primal Scream

Bit of a cop-out today as we have had to wander a little further afield mainly to get the 6th puncture of the year mended! Don't know just how far back some of these images go but are a collection of Insects all caught, at one time or another, in the Moth Traps.
 New for the Recording Area
POPLAR LUTESTRING

CREAM-SPOT TIGER clip
 LIGHT ARCHES
While it has been emphasized 'we don't do Micros'
there are some which catch our imagination such as
 ESPERIA SULPHURELLA
a 'smart' little thing.
on the wing once again
BROAD-BODIED CHASER
 FIELD CUCKOO BUMBLEBEE
 MINING BEE
ROBBERFLY
and the most strangely named
FOOTBALLER HOVERFLY
(we just love that one)
 ICHNEUMON FLY (species?)

PINE HAWK-MOTH
Once again we have John Gifford to THANK for a number of identifications.
The following are NOT Insects!
Over-exposed
but still eminently visible

KESTREL
was followed by a
 Stranger in the Camp
