Helicopter - Roy Wood

For yet another day it was left to the
Moth Traps
to come up with the only
First's for the Year
and singles of each in both cases in the shape of
SMALL WHITE WAVE
and
NARROW-WINGED PUG
Additionally, there was also something of a blurred example of why we don't like
SPIDER's
in the traps as this one nicks, what could have proved to be a rarity,
for its breakfast
At this time of year it wouldn't be unexpected to find a new
 Species of Bird
every day but the closest we got was another pair of
 RED-LEGGED PARTRIDGE
in the southern part of the
Recording Area
and even this was by a 'third party'!
While investigating these we did come across a second, presumed, breeding pair of
 KESTREL's
with only the female being obliging enough to pose for
 and a short
Video Clip
decent numbers of
 SPECKLED WOOD BUTTERFLIES
were buzzing about all over the area but were not alone in this as a
 ROYAL NAVY
MERLIN
helicoper flew backwards and forewards to eleviating some of the current PPE pressure at
Bournemouth Hospital
as reported on the evening new!
"we saw them all out and we saw them all in"
It is surely relevent to mention the skills and efforts of ALL those
Front Line Workers
who are risking their lives that we might be safe!
CHEERS!
Our 'outside camera man' perched on his equipment
COMMON BUZZARD
Both
 STARLING
 and
LAPWING
are growing in numbers but without a single sign of nesting
which has been the trait here (and surely elsewhere)
over the last couple of breeding seasons.
GREAT TIT
singing
and at the other end of the
 KESTREL
scale
 the male from the
Nest in the Stable
awaits another hapless
Mammal or Passerine
We are hopeing for better tomorrow while looking for more Readers
