Another dank start to the day but like most others of recent times,

The large shape flying out of the rain cloud manifested itself as a
GREY HERON
which settled briefly in the
Harbins Fir Tree,
while all that were found in the Moth Traps were
YELLOW DUNG FLIES
and this
WHITE-LIPPED SNAIL
Things turned very much for the better on arrival at the
Irrigation Pond
where a most obliging
COMMON SNIPE
(Mute Swans passing overhead)
was found feeding
