look even rosier. The Mono River at this time is no more than a
trickle, the bridge is only a few feet long and our timing could not
have been better. As we looked over the parapet, there below hunting in
what water there was swam a

disappeared into the jungle. Both Gonzalo and I estimated the beast to
have been in the region of 6 feet long!
