Candles in the Wind - Elton John

While the Moths continue tumbling in we are now on something of a catch-up with a small selection of Firsts for the Year gracing the traps such as

OAK-TREE PUG
a most obliging
CLOUDED BORDER
YELLOW BELLE
SHARP-ANGLED PEACOCK
COXCOMB PROMINENT
while additionally there was one of the tiny
Plume Moths
which come under the heading of Micro Moths which we shy away from like the plague. Mainly because the vast majority only have Latin names while we can't even speak Engrish Plopery!
Just about all of interest down south was found
"Under the Spreading Chestnut Tree"
(Glenn Miller)
with CANDLES akimbo
while across the

Main Solar Panel Compound
there was little more than these
hunting
MISTLE THRUSH
very likely feeding young while through the barrage of trees and bushes that are now best part obscuring the Moors River we managed to 'click' almost all of this prowling
FOX
and ending the day with yet another visit to our beat of the
River Stour
and successfully adding
REED WARBLER
to the Year List.
