Seven Wonders - Fleetwood Mac Part V of the Series

With all the myth and legend that surrounds El Salvador we were at least prepared to dip our toe in the water, which proved to be a safe and most interesting passage, to one of the considered most dangerous countries on the World!

Welcome to San Salvador the Capital.
If nothing else our attentions, sooner or later, would turn towards the world famous Waldo's Restaurant but don't wish to get ahead of ourselves. Firstly we would have to wander the
SIDE-STREETS
in search of accommodation for the night which was far easier that imagined.

Additionally, we have no issue publishing ALL of the Birds new to the World List as one warning ‘on the street’ was not to wander off into the jungle, particularly alone - beginning with the ubiquitous

PLAIN-BREASTED GROUND DOVE
SAN SALVADOR
from elevation and another taxi ride.
ORANGE-FRONTED PARAKEET
and
VOLCAN SANTA ANA
NORTHERN BEARDLESS-TYRANNULET
and of course the almost obligatory
MAYAN TEMPLE
which always draws you to the wonderment while imagening just what life must have been like then?
WHITE-THROATED MAGPIE JAY
PANORAMICA

in the heart of the city affording 360° views.

ORANGE-CHINNED (Tovi) PARRAKEETs
CASCADA LOS TERCIOS SUCHITOTO
WHITE-CROWNED SPARROW
eventually ending up at
WALDO'S RESTAURANT
with something of an oppressive start finding 2 para-militaries guarding the entrance armed with what appeared to be Kalashnikof Rifles, Side Arms and even Granades dangling from their belts,
but within the warmest welcome that could be afforded, immediate contact with the other customers in a packed house and food and vino/beer (HIC) of the finest quality!!
It is said that "if you remember a visit to Waldo's, then you ain't been there"!
Shades of the First Isle of Wight Rock Festival.

Don’t forget the link with the BBC News Item of some days ago now, ref 2-Tone which will all become clear at the end, we hope!
