The second part of our stay in Bermuda and a collecting of the wildlife shots taken there.

The most common birds here were

and HOUSE SPARROW

with GREAT KISKADEE coming an equal third.

and GK in flight.

I'd had the forethought to buy a 'one day bus pass' which served me well, especially as by a sheer fluke I was told of an 'almost sure fire site for a much respected bird.

The driver and passengers were kindness themselves and advised 

of the best spot to view

WHITE-TAILED TROPICBIRD

this being my first sighting after a wait of at least 30 seconds.

All of the birds were at great distance, so I took some time to ponder where might be the best vantage point.

Along this beautiful, clean and endless beach there was a

rocky outcrop where a pair of these birds seemed to land, so despite a bit of a walk this was where I headed.

Distraction arrived in the shape of

AMERICAN CROW

again distant but another unexpected addition to the

Trip List.

The habitat here plus pristine vegetation would have provided

interest enough,

but reaching the beach it was seen to be strew with 'thousands' of

PORTUGESE MEN 'o' WAR,

a dozen or so TURNSTONE

a fleeting fly-past of AMERICAN HERRING GULL before

these 'sleek' beauties turned up.

Never 'point-blank', but you make up your own mind!

My 'new found mate'

MARTIN WHITE

had invited me, along with

SUE and WALLY, to an early evening party in his
Suite (yes, another SWEET)

prior to dining with these 2 lovely ladies from the ships
Sauna and Spa.
There is a 'strict' Gentlemen in Jackets policy in the 'posh' restaurant,
hence my first and only visit,
but when you look as big a twit as I you can usually
get away with 'anything'.

Bulgarian SYLVIA and

RUSANA from the Ukraine were the very best of company

while Martin busied himself with his 'party piece'.

This was the night before arriving at what would be for me a
Major Milestone on my World Travels.

Not only was Hamilton, BERMUDA my 143rd country on earth

but also completed my visits to 'every' recognised country in the
AMERICAs along with all the other major Islands.

For the most part the photo speak for themselves,
so will let them do so,

but everyone I spoke to on the ship agreed that
Bermuda is the cleanest country on the Planet,
including Singapore and that says something.

My first stop was at the tiny CENOTAPH, from
where the White Ensign flew and took the time to
salute past and present 'shipmates.

A short bus ride out of town took me to the

where a pint or two were the order of the day and chance

to meet these lovely ladies.
