Bike - Pink Floyd

We are having something of a busy but most enjoyable time of it at the moment which we will share with our Valued Readers in Posts to come. For now a bit of a 'catch-up' starting with a few Moths whose numbers are increasing, as expected, by the day!

TREBLE BROWN-SPOT
FOX MOTH
(male and female)
with
LARVAE
BLOOD-VEIN
STRAW DOT
SMALL SERAPHIM
SMALL CLOUDED BRINDLE
with 2 aspect of
BUFF ERMINE
Something of a conundrum as this bicycle
I've got a bike, you can ride it if you like.
It's got a basket, a bell that rings
and things to make it look good.
I'd give it to you if I could, but I borrowed it.

Bike - Pink Floyd

has been moved from pillar to post along the course of the main road over the passed 10 days
then disappeared soon after this image was taken?

Rare Breeds Cattle
were moved from the main body of the Heath some weeks ago and now rarely being seen
so we took our chance to reaquaint.

More mechanical than wild on the Heath as works on the new
Hangers / Factories
continue to grow in quick time!
LONGHORN BEETLEs
are starting to show up here as well as the juvenile
STONECHAT
become less reliant on the
Parent Birds
and
a Sight for Sore Eyes
(not much movement)
as we have never recorded a
GREY HERON
in or on any part of the
Solar Panel Systems
(but that's how Heron's are)

and to end there is nothing but good news from the Main Pond where all
c5 of the gosling
CANADA GEESE
and
all c7 cygnets
are thriving - thankfully!

Fire Brigade - The Move

With the temperature touching +26C at noon on the first of June, (a poet and we don’t even know it) there were no surprises as the Moths started tumbling in early morning!

LIGHT EMERALD
the rather bizarre
BUFF TIP
MILLER
the delightful
PEACH BLOSSOM
and a final beauty in the flesh
RUBY TIGER
with a larvae from the archive.
Again rather expected than a surprise, once again a mobile
GARDEN WARBLER
has taken up station at a site that has become traditional over every year since records began,
where the Heath meets the Eco Works but surely not the same bird?
We would have heard it louder and sweeter were it not for this
GUIMBAL CABRI CHOPPER
of Elite Helicopters directly overhead - if you live on top of an
International Aiport
what do you expect?
A few more Butterflies on the wing
such as this

COMMON BLUE
but only a single and unfortunately hapless day-time flying Moth a
COMMON HEATH
obviously invited to dinner by this young
DARTFORD WARBLER
Returning to the Airport just briefly there seemed to be nothing more than a
short squirt followed by a trickle from this
State of the Art Fire Engine
before our attention was turned to something far smaller
the remains of a presumed recently hatched
ROBIN's EGG
and likely a wide gape waiting to be fed while yet another
SLOE WORM
while all else included this

ORANGE FRINGE SLUG

an absolutely 'cracking'
GREY WAGTAIL
at the Sewerage Works and another equally 'smart'
BLACK PHEASANT
and a couple of doodles with the usual
ROOKs
and
JACKDAW
through the closed window.
