 While we were never counting our chickens before they hatched it was certainly before the fried eggs hit the plate this morning that we found ourselves in

MILLIONAIRE'S ROW

but were watching the 'Hit Counter' at the appropriate time around 05:30 to see the fruits of our labours and the support of our Most Valued Readership join as one in that Magic Moment, we can only thank you all whole heartedly once again for the unswerving support - go on tell yer Pals!

A somewhat gloomy but adiquately warm day and night which did at the very least coax in a few     First for the Year Moths into the Traps with

made for a fine start

followed by the dainty
FOXGLOVE PUG

the cream of the day's crop

and a rear guard

In the early grey heading north this
WOOD PIGEON

was already hard at work best building while at the
Gravel Pit

a somewhat unexpected

pair of

GADWALL

which will be even more welcome if they turn out to be

the 'first' breeders of the species here!
In some of the out-buildings our first chance of capturing

SWALLOW'S NEST'S
and behind a bank of ever increasing green foliage the only example of

PINK HAWTHORN

so far this year.

Continuing the theme most of the garden shrubs are looking at their best wit

being all we know this beauty by while the

DOG ROSEs

are blooming

in their usual

Pink and White

while at Sunset the

WOOD PIGEONs

still continued their frolickings!

 We are having something of a busy but most enjoyable time of it at the moment which we will share with our Valued Readers in Posts to come. For now a bit of a 'catch-up' starting with a few Moths whose numbers are increasing, as expected, by the day!

Rare Breeds Cattle
were moved from the main body of the Heath some weeks ago and now rarely being seen

so we took our chance to reaquaint.

Solar Panel Systems

(but that's how Heron's are)
and to end there is nothing but good news from the Main Pond where all

Fire Brigade - The Move

With the temperature touching +26C at noon on the first of June, (a poet and we don’t even know it) there were no surprises as the Moths started tumbling in early morning!

Again rather expected than a surprise, once again a mobile

has taken up station at a site that has become traditional over every year since records began,

where the Heath meets the Eco Works but surely not the same bird?
We would have heard it louder and sweeter were it not for this

of Elite Helicopters directly overhead - if you live on top of an
International Aiport
what do you expect?

Returning to the Airport just briefly there seemed to be nothing more than a

short squirt followed by a trickle from this

before our attention was turned to something far smaller
