Here Comes the Sun - The Beatles

Looking on high the weather looked promising

allowing us to monitor the 2 home-bound traps in the dry but with the only new arrival being this
distant and brightly liveried Chopper not seen before along with another all to familiar
RED-BREAST
looking for a free breakfast.
We hadn't arriver at the more northerly Moth Traps before the heavens opened but
thanked the same Heavens for the sanctuary of the Solar Panels providing shelter to pluck firstly a
JERSEY TIGER
stuck, up-side-down to the collar but
released unharmed after a little t.l.c.
before the find of the day a
SCARCE BORDERED STRAW
added to the Year List.
While not wishing to Jump the Gun, with still a few days of Summer still to run thier course,
a number of things are already looking Autumnal
Young Chestnut
bringing the
HARVEST
HOME
(except for the Sunflowers that
still await thier day)
and
ROWAN
just as a trio of examples.
While "Here Comes the Sun" had soon changed to "Raining in My Heart".

Homeward Bound - Simon and Garfunkle

Firstly, our appologies for the No-Show yesterday not quiet reaching our demise yet but another unwelcome Brain Storm. However, we feel the END is not far away as having plumeted into the low 400's on the Stat Counter, everyone needing a little encouragement, and don't forget my dear friend Sooty on Channel 4 at 21:00 this evening! CHEERS!

Not exactly an eye-catching small bunch of  First for the Year Moths yesterday morning

with
FLOUNCED RUSTIC
SMALL WAINSCOT
and
PEARLY UNDERWING

bringing up the rear-guard, while during the process a representative from the

LEE ANNE SHAY AVIATION NETWORK
Not something regularly featured through our pages, the
PISCINE's
get a mention until our Mate and Angler Ken happens along to report c4 large

CARP
in the main Pond, un-clickable due to the blanket of pond-weed.
The lull, for that is what it is,
might have continued
had it not been for the arrival of c2
south bound
WHEATEAR
(this one having a gaping session)
the 'vanguard'
of the
South-Bound Dispersal

Thin on the Ground

Like many other things, including Crops as we have all seen, the Hotter it gets the fewer they become, which is just the same in nature. This has almost driven us to shutting the Blog down altogether, just out of frustration, and even though MANY readers have dropped out for now at least, we carry on! So, with nothing outstanding we can only report between the

Moth Trap Lamp
and the
STURGEON MOON
seemingly reducing the
STARLING
FLOCK
by about 50% to 500 individuals,
with
static young
MISTLE THRUSH'S
along with similarlyinactive
juvenile
MEADOW PIPIT
we can only bring you what we find!

Tango in the Night - Fleetwood Mac

After last weeks short daliance with Poland we continue to get into another

Hell of a Baltic State
again in no particular geographical order as w knock on the door of
ESTONIA
but more particularly that of the capital
the wonder of which is that across a succession of wars neither the
Russian or the Nazi's laid a finger on the place so still as pristine today as it ever was.
Permission to Enter Harbour?
some city scenes
A fantastic City with a real Buzz about it, but time for
SUPPER
After that early start and more to come the next day an Early Night was in order which lasted just as long as it to to hear Blues Music issuing from the easy to find
with all thoughts of the previous plan being shelved.
Open it was just a case of following one's ear
down the winding
and interestingly decorated
walls
with all authentic posters
Jimi, Jimi, Jimi
Zep, Zep, Zep
It took quiet a while for the Live Band to get going and more of an audience to show up, but in the meantime these
2 Geezers as if they could buy me a drink??
With guard up they were asked why they wanted to imbibe me and replied
"You Are Our Favourite Guitarist in the World"!
With pint in hand and a clear stage a quick blast on the
Air Guitar
was surely what they were after but returning asked who they thought I was. Peter Green, founder and Lead Guitar of Fleetwood Mac with the similarity never having been noticed before
PETER GREEN
and the real
PETER GREEN
It has its benefits being the Greatest Guitarist in the World and certainly put a little more lustre into the
Tango in the Night
but not the only time it ever happened, we'll take you back to Cork, Irish Republic one of these days
