A real surprise this morning as Gabon joins the readership as country number 129. Aways a great kick to welcome an African nation and we hope the reader will extend the interest by passing on the Blog link to others in the country. WELCOME & Thank You!
I'm off to Spain this afternoon, flying from Bournemouth Hern Airport at 16-30 and should arrive Alicante 19-45 local time. My last visit to this country was in 2005, with Jim the Medic, during which time we visited the area around Andorra which we also took a short look at. Internet access should be available during my stay, so it is hoped a post will be published on each of my 4 days on the ground.
Some views of the scenery thereabouts
Plus a small selection of birds we saw and hope to find again, along with many more.
Alpine Chough
Blue Rock Thrush
Crag Martin (on nest)
Egyptian Vulture
Crested Lark
Red-backed Shrike
Griffon Vulture
Spotless Starling
Roller
White Stork
