City to City - Gerry Rafferty (Another Day in Baguio)

With very few options in this city and no-one who knew of a nature reserve, I once again returned to the Botanical Gardens this time walking. I did snatch a quick shot form the hotel window before leaving

and another as I crossed the river, at the height of summer as it is, devoid of water.

A rather nice setting where

Brown Shrike abound

and their larger and more striking cousin which we will come to later.

The Mansion Hose

seemed very popular with the locals,

so why not take a look.

a group of photographers who were honing their skills on an Engagement Assignment.

A stop at one of hundreds of wayside stalls for a cold drink before taking a look at a few specimens in the Gardens,

and in addition finding a

VELVET-FRONTED NUTHATCH.

Tomorrow I may well head for the Mountains, but in the meantime have to suss out the bus service and exactly where to go.
