The House of Fraser

The first full day on the hill and a chance of a quick look around at the

Town Suare and Clock,

some local vegetation and the
9 hole

Fraser's Hill Golf Course.

Enter Phil Soo who took me under his wing early morning and off we set for a little birding/photographt therepy.

Had it not been for Singaporean Phil I may noy have seen LESSER RACKET-TAILED DRONGO

None birders please note the long pendulous tail feathers.

Not the best of photos of the most colourful SILVER-EARED MESIA but feel by the end of this leg of the trip there will be some better shots of this confiding beauty

Next came a most elegant FIRE-TUFTED BARBET

which at one stage was seen feeding a young bird.

Despite a land-slip and notices for Road Closed, we did make it almost to the Waterfall

Where in June last year Phil had last visited and when this building was someones home. During those few short months it had been reclaimed by the jungle.

Next came a WHITE-THROATED FANTAIL

a Coral Like Plant.

MOUNTAIN FULVETTA,

a strange looking Butterfly/Moth

and the delightful CHESTNUT-CROWNED LAUGHINGTHRUSH, in addition today but without photographic evidence, we also saw JAVAN CUCKOOSHRIKE, BLUE-WINGED LEAFBIRD, GREY-CHEEKED FULVETTA, BLACK & CRIMSON ORIOLE, STREAKED SPIDERHUNTER, CRIMSON SUNBIRD, ASIAN PALM-SWIFT, YELLOW-VENTED BULBUL, MOUNTAIN TAILORBIRD, HOUSE SWIFT and ORIENTAL MAGPIE ROBIN.
