During my
wanderings today I came across an old Mate, or maybe that should be
adversary. During my last visit here, when it was a much wilder place, a
PAINTED STORK
(an uncommon migrant)
had
already been in residence for a number of years. In my rush to
photograph the bird, which was now taking food hand fed, I forgot that
this was a wild creature and was quite badly 'billed' across the hand.
Nice to see it finally got its just deserts, spending the rest of its
days In A 'Glasshouse'.
This
is the Nature Reserve Hotel, with everything being built in sympathy
with the natural surroundings. Thale Noi has also been designated a No
Hunting Zone.
This is the 'Future of Thailand', at just 6 days old.
Some considered better shots of COMMON MYNA and
OLIVE-BACKED SUNBIRD
and as ever TREE SPARROW
PURPLE SWAMPHEN
ORANGE-BELLIED GREEN PIGEON
SCALY-BREASTED MUNIA
COPPERSMITH BARBET
BUTTERFLY
BAYA WEAVER
The
first and only time a GREATER COUCAL was in focus, the camera (nothing
to do with me) had decided to turn itself to monochrome.
It was rewarding to get these images of COMMON IORA
along with this DUSKY TAILORBIRD.
Sunbird Sp looks to have smaller bill than the one above and shinny nape, maybe the angle.
A rather attractive BEE
and another DRAGONFLY
Another Post completely 'out of sync - what have those Tossers done??
