A Life On The Ocean Waves - Epes Sargent and Henry Russell

Sailing from Grand Caymen, it was to be a 30 hours passage to our next destination at 'economical speed. Very little in the way of wildlife, but what showed up was mostly captured on camera.
Another BARN SWALLOW landed onboard.
I say 'another' confidently as comparison to the other this is a
full adult complete with 'pink' undercarriage.
Out of my chair quick enough to capture this shot.
with the only MAGNIFICENT FRIGATEBIRD
appearing soon after. It was while searching for the smaller bird
that c3 TROPICBIRD Sp flew by at great distance.
The search was fruitful, locating a
GREY KINGBIRD
perched on one of the 'stays'.
and the first view of our destination Island was very remenicent of
Portland Bill from seaward.
Final 'migrants' of the day were
c4 CATTLE EGRETs
but there was still much left to do.
Not having got as familiar as surnames I can only tell you that it
was BRIAN's (next to me) birthday and along with June, Wes,
Brian's wife Janice and Austin
and I was among the privileged few to be invited.
Our talented Filipino Catering Staff supplied bot music
and the delicious dinner
all enjoying the Cake and Wine with
The MAN in BLACK
We wish you many more Brian.
