'Autumnal' would best describe the
feel at daybreak, which continued throughout the rest of the day. There
is now a definite chill in the air which the Weathermen says will become
warmer as the week-end draws near. Mainly 'common fare' in the Moth
Trap which included
SHARP-ANGLED PEACOCK
COMMON RUSTIC
MARBLED BEAUTY*
BLOOD-VEIN
PEBBLE HOOK-TIP
but then, tucked away at the bottom of the trap, another excellent find
THE CHEVRON*
With such scarcities, it is practise to run them past Paul Harris
for confirmation, and how nice it is to get one right for a change!
So, 2 new additions* to the Property List. Thanks Paul.

It was also the day
Eric the Blacksmith
paid a visit.
A very lucky shot of a passing
APACHE HELICOPTER
FUNGI Sp
and about 2 dozen young
PHEASANTS
on the back lawn this morning.
As far as is known none have been reared here this year so
all of these are product of the 'wild' population.
The summer sun is fading as the year grows old
And darker days are drawing near
The winter winds will be much colder
Now you're not here
I watch the birds fly south across the Autumn sky
And one by one they disappear
I wish that I was flying with them
Now you're not here
