Sound of Silence - Simon and Garfunkel

The most noticeable thing about this location in the South of France is the SILENCE, a tranquillity difficult to find these days. Even the birds don't start singing until about 08:00 and mechanisation doesn't seem to have reached here yet.

 My first duty early morning was to take this shot,

 

 while still in bed, of the window shutters seeming like giant hands

beckoning the New Day!

 An early morning walk from the house

 

 down through the village

 and onward to the farmland and woods beyond.

THE PYRENEES MOUNTAINS

can just be seen in the background.

 My new Companion was soon given his marching orders

for frightening the birds well in advance of my approach.

 The Running Man before me was none other than Hugh

 returning from his regular morning exercise with the 

fresh bread and croissants.

 Just time for another shot before returning to the house

 and joining the others for breakfast.

 Lots of LIZARDS still appearing.
