Family Man - Mike Oldfield

While even more bad weather was on its way and there was some heavy rain before dawn my drive to Kingston upon Thames was bright and sunny with little other traffic on the roads. It being Sunday and the first day of Christmas week I guess most were either having a 'lie in' or heading for local shops making the journey pleasurable.
The day was packed with eating, drinking (responsibly), seeing
family and meeting new friends.
ALEXANDER and FREDERICK
were already getting started.
Maybe I should introduce each as we go as the
 BEEF
at this point was ready for
 CARVING
enter the Fat Lad!
 A decent bottle of Claret
 CHATEAU DUCRU BEAUCAILLOU
and it was all systems go.
Mt youngest daughter LISA with youngest grandson BENJAMIN
One of BERNARD's (my Australian son-in-law centre) sisters
INGRID, also Australian but at present a Lawyer in the City.
Next, it was a real delight and honour to meet PABLO (far end
and husband of Ingrid) alongside his parents CONSTANTINO
(Costa) and CONSTANZA (Connie) all from
COLOMBIA.
I think it would be in order to say that an instant and mutual
friendship was forged especially as I have travelled fairly extensively
in their country. I have promised to do a Post of the same.
From here it was a case of simply
'a good time being had by all'
so best I just leave the pictures to tell the story!
 Is that PUDDING alight yet?
FRED tucking into another Chocolate Snowman.
After dinner a time for exchanging gifts
and could any gift be finer than a short-cake Christmas Tree
made by the fair hands of your 3 Grandsons?
YES! is the short answer to that question as the
GIFT OF LIFE
is what came next. Their hand-made Christmas Card featured
the very first photograph of my first
GRANDDAUGHTER and their SISTER.
I hope it won't be too long before I'm heading up the M3 once again!

  2. Apologies for tardy reply Roy, mind elsewhere! Those 3 boys are a joy but to have a girl will be 'special' indeed. Roll on May and thankfully the family will still be here in England. The VERY BEST to you and yours over the season - talk again in the New Year!
