The BRILLIANCE which is Iron Maiden
LINK
Hold a halo round the world, golden is the day.
Princes of the Universe, your burden is the way.
So there is no better time, who will be born today.
A gypsy child at the day break, a King for a day.
From the Moth Traps.

SCORCHED CARPET
first of the year.
CHOCOLATE-TIP
on
Finger Tip
a new species for the Farm.
PURPLE THORN
[Chorus:]
Out of the Shadows
and into the sun
Dreams of the past as the old ways are done,
Oh there is beauty and surely there is pain,
But we must endure it to live again.
NUT-TREE TUSSOCK
GREY FIELD SLUG
SPIDER
probably
Coelotes terrestris
BULLFINCH
let alone photograph them,
so when we do
we feel you should see
all we have.
male BULLFINCH one of two that were vying for the favours
of a female. So coy was she that even Jack the Lad (moi)
couldn't get near to her. Better luck next time!
and it was felt that this presumed female
DUNNOCK
might have done well to watch her back.
A short diversion to check that very quiet tsseeee
coming from a pair of
TREECREEPER
seemingly more intent on feed than anything else.
Note that tail, used for balance during all that branch-obatics.
There! I warned her but do these youngsters listen?
No! Quickly he was all over like a 'cheap suit'
and then as lads sometimes do, he was on his bike!
Enter a very fine looking male
BLACKCAP
also in pursuit of a bit of 'nonesense'.
Keep looking son and keep singing.
SONG THRUSH
needed no reminder to keep singing.
Time to spot a 'first of the year'
GREEN-VEINED WHITE BUTTERFLY
before the female
BLACKCAP
showed up
showing her 'chestnut cap'.
COOTs
are also busy diving for Pond Weed,
chasing the girls
and also doing a bit of vocals.
and finally something of the none avian variety flew over a
CHINOOK HELICOPTER.
Dusty dreams in fading daylight
Flicker on the walls
Nothing new your life's adrift
What purpose to it all?
Eyes are closed and death is calling
Reaching out its hand
Call upon the starlight to surround you
Out of the Shadow and into the sun
Dreams of the past as the old ways are done
Oh there is beauty and surely there is pain
But we must endure it to live again
A man who casts no shadow has no soul.
