I Feel Fine - The Beatles

It's there the vast majority of the time, but when you reach that moment of realisation it dawns on you that 'WELL-BEING' is one of the greatest feelings on Earth. What brought all that on? Well, first of all my 'dear freinds' arrived back safely from their 2 weeks trip to Zimbabwe, with tales of Cheetah, Cape Francolin, Water Dikkop, Warthog etc, during which time I had successfully abstained. Sat here in Slight II, enjoying the second half of a Spatchcocked Chicken with veg, my thoughts returned to a recent visit to see the Secret Lemonade Scupperer and looking around at the photographs of Elizabeth, Fred, Benny, Alex, the
2 Skinny Kids (Jim the Medic and Rather Rotund William)
riding a Yak on the Mongolian Mountain Steppe
and decided it was time for an Executive Decision or TWO!
Firstly a decent Merlot and then an equally decent tune! With the first bottle drained within the hour a second was broached by which time U2 had performed the full works of The Joshua Tree
especially
We'll scorch the earth, set fire to the sky
We stoop so low, to reach so high
A link is lost, the chain undone
We wait all day for night to come
And it comes like a hunted child
Yeah, you keep me holdin' on
In Red Hill Town, see the lights go down on
I'm hangin' on, you're all that's left to hold on to
I'm still waiting, hangin' on
You're all that's left to hold on to, on to.
