With
the usual stealth of a Bull Mammoth in Musk, we quietly crept up to the
GP only to flush a small Duck, initially thought likely to be a Teal
which, luckily, returned to the very same subsidiary pool it had sprung
from. This late in the year that in itself would have brought its own
rewards, but anyway there were now c3 of them. Peering over the gravel
bund that part surrounds the pit those on view could be clearly seen as
a 'pair' of

likely those that have been knocking about all year?
However, that first bird was surely 'smaller' than these so the search went on
but not for long as just 2 camera clicks later the 'first bird' again
took to the wing and seemed to head for the IP.
Sure enough, there it was with its 2 pals, a splendid looking
male

While the other 2 left as quickly as they had arrived
this handsome chap
decided to stay for most of the morning.
