Ruby - Kaiser Cheifs

No more anxieties down on the Farm, in fact it's as good as it gets. With a marginal increase in overnight temperature, albeit with a certain amount of rain, both species counts and individual numbers of Insects have seen something of a Renascence. Nothing new to add to the Property List, but all that follow are the first seen this year.
 Starting with a very early
BEAUTIFUL BROCADE
 NARROW-WINGED PUG
a pretty poor specimen of
WHITE-SPOTTED PUG
 HEART and DART
 RUBY TIGER
and
OAK HOOK-TIP
In addition not the First of the Year
and it certainly won't be the last
COCKCHAFER
or
MAY BUG
Trivia:- I was once Captain on a ship named Cockchafer.
Memories are made of this!
BLUE BOTTLE
 CALLIPHORA VOMITORIA
 and after 'Blue' Bottle
BLUE BELLS
and a very tiny
MINER BEE Sp.
The very, very, very good news is that moving of the Sheep on Friday
seems to have had no adverse effect on the nesting
 LITTLE RINGED PLOVER
in fact, whichever sex, this parent was waiting for me as I unlocked
the Compound gate this morning. The photo remains 'uncropped'!
Their close neighbours nesting in the redundant cable drums
PIED WAGTAIL
The next Good News involves what now looks sure to be more new
NEIGHBOURS
of the above.
LAPWING
now seem intent on occupying the space next door although in
this clip it looks rather as if the Ol' Lad is being somewhat spurned?

 Still Trying!
The day continued, at the Irrigation Pond where we found yet another surprise.
It was distant but a 'first' for Parley Court Farm nonetheless,
can you see what it is yet?
with BLACK-HEADED GULL (right)
GREENSHANK
a most welcome addition to the PCF List.
and just for good measure the First
 SWIFT
and
HOBBY
of the Year, albeit the photies are a bit flaky.
Lingering there for quite a while, to soak up the trill of the find,
we had a single
STOCK DOVE
seemingly in need of a drink.
Close by we found another
WHEATEAR
which is our 'third' making it a
bumper year here so far for the species.
There is always a chance of Cattle Damage if the
ACTINIC TRAP
is set outside of the fenced off areas, but if you want an Emperor Moth
this is the best place. No worries last night as there was a
Guardian Angle on hand.
ROE DEER
Just one
DARTFORD WARBLER
put in an appearance but just cannot resist the temptation.
Not very often we get this close to
MAGPIE
so made the most of it!
STOCK DOVE

GREENSHANK
and AGAIN
and AGAIN!
