Starting our rounds as ever at Parley Pond there was something
of a surprise as this image only features 3 of a total c28

which it is hoped are representative of a successful breeding season here,
but feared more likely to be, like the above, a part of an Autumn influx.
At the Irrigation Pond there was either the same or another
REED WARBLER
while a hunting
KESTREL
along with a
CHIFFCHAFF
were located further down the lane.
On the Heath, but more particularly on the newly turned earth
which is now the far more shallow
Balancing Pond,
a number of Birds were found but only 2 obliging enough to afford a shot or two.
WHEATEAR
and the
'young, pied'
CARRION CROW
GRAYLING BUTTERFLY
was well camouflaged among the Gorse and Heather while a
WILLOW WARBLER
seemed more that happy to allow a photo-call.
