'Blue' Moon - The Marcels

While we didn't make much of a hand of capturing the Monday Moon,
by way of compensation or friend Willie Wine did send us his own offering!
However, having said that we think he may have it wrong, looks more like Uranus to us?
Many thanks Willie, you obviously had a better angle on it that us!
but we did manage to get something of the following
ROSINE SUNRISE,
while on the way to the traps in silhouette only a

 CORMORANT
flying along the course of the River Stour.
With overnight temperature continuing in lower range double figures
we continue to catch Moths, clockwise from the 'green' one at the top which is a
Merveille du Jour, an uncooperative November Moth (type),
Red-line Quaker and Grey Shoulder-knot along with
 DARK SWORD-GRASS
 and yet another example of
 HARLEQUIN LADYBIRD
Before continuing in our 'rounds' there was a fly-pass of the
 WILTSHIRE AIR AMBULANCE
a
Bell 429
At the Irrigation Pond first sighted were these 3
MUTE SWANs
comprising of what looks like a
 young female,
 a male
and another male which is the only one 'ringed'. It only has a
single metal ring on the right leg.
There followed a most welcome find a
 COMMON SANDPIPER
which has never knowingly been recorded here
in the month of November.
From there on more 'common fare' was the order of the day including
BLUE TIT
 COMMON BUZZARD
 and a
ROBIN
in full song.
Our wander ended with another welcome sight, this time a
JAY
which is by no means a regular sight in the vicinity of
Slight Return II

  1. Oh! My Goodness! Capt!
I was on my way to the bathroom...and thought..
'has anyone posted to~day'..And, look..I feel
    all 'behind' now! :).
I always thought that the moon was at the top
    of things..not the bottom!
But, l did think it was one of the better moon
images, when l saw it! :0).
PS..I thought that including the Blue Tit was
    very apt! :).
