My Big Mouth - Oasis

Yes, me and my big mouth no sooner had we published news of the birth
than the very  next day one of the Kids had died. No knowing how or why,
we will now be watching the last of the prospective mother Bagot Goats
very carefully for a replacement.
Despite having passed through the rainy season there has still been
something to show from the Moth Traps such as
TRUE LOVER'S KNOT
GARDEN TIGER
DOUBLE SQUARE-SPOT
followed by a short interruption as our friend from a previous Post
did a fly past.
BOEING 727-SS2F (RE)
Oil Spill Response
Now, that's one hell of a smart aircraft!
and as if we needed any more, interruptions that is, we finally clapped eyes on a
WREN'S NEST
perched on one of the stable lights.
TIGER CRANEFLY
along with a
BROWN CHAFER
and
SUMMER CHAFER
Until last weekends wind and rain arrived
BBQ Season
was well underway here which is a time for savouring good food, fine wine
and the odd Bird. After our evening of c29 Species we also added our first juvenile
BLUE TIT
and this
HOUSE SPARROW
enjoying some 'fine dining' of its own a
BANDED DEMOISELLE
c4 new species of Butterfly have been added to the
Year List
in recent days including
PAINTED LADY
LARGE SKIPPER
MARBLED WHITE
and
SILVER-WASHED FRITILLARY
LITTLE GREBE UPDATE
with the juvenile still thriving
it is now about half the size of the
Parent Birds
and surprise, surprise
the female
is back sat on a new nest - is there more to come?
