Yes, it has been quiet pretty much all round
but Wednesday seemed to hit a new low across the Recording Area.
With nothing that would not be a repete from recent days
again we had to wander off piste to get at even the more common fare!
SONG THRUSH
have certainly taken over the vocals with a noticeable influx while
there were in fact
c3
LITTLE EGRET
knocking about with one rather reluctant bird keeping clear of the lens.
Wildfowl were represented by no more than
TUFTED DUCK
WIGEON
and
GREYLAG GEESE
while Spring was trying to get sprung with the
BLACKTHORN
showing its white blossom before the leaf
the exact opposite for the already leaf bearing
HAWTHORN
along with loads of
WILLOW CATKINS
while many of the resident birds are already underway it is thought
this little fella
BLUETIT
still has a lot more preening to do
before it looks like this!
Thursday also only fielded common fare but nonetheless a joy to behold!
At first glance it looked as if it was just down to the regular c4
TUFTED DUCKs
but on closer inspection it was found to be a
Record Breaking
c7, the highest count ever here.
After an almost total winter absence one
then 2
COMMON BUZZARD
showed themselves within the
Solar Panel Compound
GREENFICH
continue to be vocal while another new arrival?
COLLARED DOVE
was found gracing the
Sewreage Works
Back to Buchan manana!
