The Young Ones - Cliff Richard

Another 'high teens' return on the overnight temperature was sure to attract more activity which came in the shape of

ELEPHANT HAWK-MOTH
RIBAND WAVE
MIDDLE-BARRED MINOR
with 2 aspects of
LYCHNIS
all Firsts for the Year
along with a
moribund
BEE
of sorts and a
MILLIPEDE
it doesn't get much more exciting than that?
Otherwise, the focus was on 'YOUNGSTERS' which in the first instance were found along the
Sewerage Works Fence
in the guise of
(male)
BULLFINCH
including at least c3
JUVENILEs
with the FEMALE bringing up the rearguard.
After finding
COMMON VETCH
along with a clump of
WOOD SPURGE
the
COASTGUARD RESCUE HELICOPTER
made a fly-past
seemingly encouraging this female
GOLDCREST
in to view - long time no see, and not to be upstaged the
ROYAL NAVY
fielded one of its own
MERLIN HELICOPTORs
and an opinion only that the Best came at the Final Knockings......
WOODLARK
carrying a bill full of groceries is surely enough to prove that the species
has bred yet again on our Patch this year!
