One Swallow Does Not A Summer Make!

Still catching decent returns from all traps but more particularly last night when the FOOTMEN arrived in the form of c3 different species.

COMMON FOOTMAN
ROSY FOOTMAN
and not to be outdone
ORANGE FOOTMAN
with surely others to follow in days to come
and just as something of a conundrum these wings of a
LOBSTER MOTH
were also found within - fine dining for your average Spider. and thanks Dave!
Walking off the Heath we found evidence in the mud of likely
PHEASANT
joined by ROE DEER at some stage before entering the
Solar Panel Compound.
Within we once again found this brave RABBIT awaiting our arrival
and bats not an eye-lid no matter how close we wander.
There was also evidence of about a dozen Sheep that seem to have slipped the attention of the Shepherdess as the other 150+ have now been moved elsewhere as yet another
WOOD PIGEON
bites the dust.
Just could not resist a representative of the now 'dozens' of juvenile
MISTLE THRUSH
nor for that matter
STARLINGs
of the same age group
looking as if playing
Hide and Seek
or simple defending its own little
Plat Pen
before moving on to the find of the day.
Not a surprise
as an
ANNUAL EVENT
as recently fledged
SWALLOWs
gather on any convenient
fence-line
to feed, preen and rest
in readiness for the long journey ahead!
