Ėdith Piaf (Piaf is French slang for Sparrow)

Due in part to the threat of more overnight rain only a single Moth Trap was activated last night but with it came

a 'first for the year'
CYPRESS PUG

During the short process we were also able to watch those acrobatic

HOUSE SPARROWs
eating their fill from the way-side weeds
before investigating the 'chattering' from above.
with a host of
HOUSE MARTINs
'hawking' around and clinging to the
Farmhouse Chimney.
In line with the recent Tit-Mouse Post another vocal bird
COAL TIT
allowd a couple of short vocal breaks before what has become the local
SQUIRREL

bounded by before we headed to the Heath
finding some 'fruits' on arrival
ROSE-HIPS
with
MEADOW PIPITs
trickling through.
A stoke of luck finding this
male (can you see it yet?)
BLACKCAP
before leaving the area
and disturbing this
COMMON BUZZARD
in pursuit of dinner.
