Ticking Away the Moments that Make up a Dull Day - Floyd!

With a balmy and unseasonably high of +10°C overnight 'last' Monday surely at least ‘A’ Moth would be found in the traps?? The outcome of that was only a couple of

ICHNEUMAN WASPs
within but there were additionally c6 Moths all clinging to the white-sides of the caravan.
possible migrant a single
DARK SWORD-GRASS
c2 distinctly different
MOTTLED UMBER
2 x WINTER MOTH
all additions to the Year List, and yet another
SILVER Y
Otherwise a dull day currently with little going for it even for those from further afield.
EMU
The 'highlight', if it can be called that on such a dull day, would have to be the c12
SONG THRUSH
all in the same paddock down south
along with just a couple of
REDWING
Having had to lift a couple of these images from the archive
these 2 show the real picture on the day while at the Airport someting of a reminder that while we had logged
ROOK
on the first day of the year it had not yet reached to logbook or the Blog.
A moderate improvement across the bridleway up north but
only a pair of
MALLARD
for our efforts, so best voiced in 'low tones'
surely it can only get better??
