All We Want for the 'C' Word is a Turnip

Having beaten the forecasted rain and attended to the Moth Traps to the tune of +11C a single December Moth a most welcome 'Migrant'

TURNIP MOTH

with a back-up of a rather late (usual flight period late August to mid-October) and quite shabby

BRICK

we then embarked on what was sure to be our last daliance with the Heath for 2022.

Still a few
WOODLARK
a couple of
STONECHAT
On the Moors River side of things
a couple of
EGYPTIAN GEESE
thought to have been fighting rather than displaying at this time of year, while a fly-over
RED KITE
was considered rather 'jammy' as completely unexpected!
Also as part of the Tales of the Unexpected on turning the 16 Reptile Covers
just a single
ADDER
was logged with the same count relating to both
a flighty
MARSH TIT
and
CHIFFCHAFF
while back on Home Turf a / the
LITTLE OWL
was once again found to be investigating what has become the
Ancestral Roost.
