Behind Bars

Given the recent appauling weather no surprise to find just c2 species across the c3 Moth Traps

CLOUDED DRAB
and
HEBREW CHARACTER
but the day will surely come with for now publishing just what we have caught!
With LITTLE OWL now making its presents known by song
it was considered the right time to check out the traditional
Roost cum Nesting Sight which bore fruit with just a
single bird in attendance on the second try - here's hoping!
while the local male
KESTREL
is sticking doggedly to the wrong side of the fence
as far as capturing a perfect image is concerned while the 'pale' female is all but absent.
Still down south and more hope in sight as the first
'displaying'
LAPWING
was found and later the presumed same group of resident
ROE DEER
both Feeding and Resting
were relocated on the Western Pasture
with enough
CHIFFCHAFFs
for one each and half a decent shot - it's starting to happen!
