The Thin Line Between Love and Haiti - Part VI

Today's post is simply a pictorial of downtown
Port au Price
on any given day and like we are sure most of you will have witnessed such
things during your own travels.
This is not a competion of who has seen the worst, but in my own experiences of 148
countries over 50+ years this was had and shoulders more acute than any seen before. The good news was that while these people were 'down', they were by no means
OUT!
General City Bustle
The Chemist
you can purchase a single Asprin if needs be

Petrol by the Pint
not at all unusual across
South East Asia
Shoeshine, absolutely irresistible to me wherever in the world
My party piece is to pretend to run off before returning and paying more
fortunately it never backfired on me!

Soup Kitchen
The Water Wagon
you can purchase any amount from a sip to a lorry load

This image speaks a THOUSAND words to me, if this is part of the
National Bank????

A visit with Ernso to meet his disciples,
visit his place of worship, a long, long way from what went before
but if you believe in such things the message will still get through

It is always harrowing to see Wildlife couped up
but you do have to ask yourself
"what would I do under the same set of circumstance"!
