Total Eclipse of the Heart - Bonnie Tyler

 Out of the hammock at 02:30 sharp yesterday morning to view the Partial Eclipse of the Sun but the weather had other ideas as the full cloud cover was loosing a heavy fall of drizzel which didn't abate before the end of the time lapse which was 05:10. A 'damp quib' maybe, but did bring with it a pulse of 

+16°C more or less throughout, so High Hopes for the traps from where First's for the Year included

SMALL GRASS EMERALD

SNOUT

DINGY SHELL
(which quite simply 'will not' open their wings)

MOCHA
along with

LARGE YELLOW UNDERWING
There were others, which will be shown in time, but along with

the strikingly contrasting

BLACK-HEADED CARDINAL BEETLE

GREAT DIVING BEETL

(with £1 coin for size comparison)

we did not want to over-egg the custard!

Apart from that one of the equestrian ladies spotted a

KINGFISHER

on the Main Pond, all to long an absentee

so represented by these archive shots

and only our second ever

ROE DEER FAWN

seemingly born just outside of the
Solar Panel Perimeter Fence.
Other than that the day fell quiet after noon, but will still be working on more for you tomorrow.
