When You're Feeling PPP Peckinsh PPP Pick up a Penguin

After a completely lazy day of eating, drinking and sunning ourselves there was always a chance there would be tears before bed time! There were, as Ille requested we re-watch the George Harrison Tribute Concert which I have seen a thousand time but never without a little blub. This has to be the most comprehensive get together of eminent rock musicians ever, just about the best 14 quid you could ever spend on contemporary music. Featuring almost the exclusive compositions of the ex Beatle, starring such luminaries as Eric Clapton, Jeff Lynne, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Joe Brown and an exquisite performance from Ringo Starr. Never my favorite musician, I concur with John Lennon when asked if he thought Ringo was the greatest drummer in the world, he retorted "he ain't even the best drummer in the Beatles"! But watch his renditions of duel penned Photograph and Carl Perkin's hit Honey Don't and you can weep along with us.

Today it was back to the 'birding', and how many of you can claim 62 GB 'lifers' today. I know someone who has. While there was nothing too spectacular, Radipole did produce a Great Spotted Woodpecker, Lodmoor several Wigeon, 4 Common Sandpiper plus a few Dunlin, Portland disappointed with just a Wheatear for our efforts. Nonetheless, it was great for our visitor to walk the Top Fields and East Cliff while the visit to the Obs (including climbing the light) scored all the team points. So, all there remains to do is get a 'bath & dhoby' and toddle off to the Greyhound at Sydling. I'll let you know how it goes Paul, especially if it's crap, in fact we'll call by on the way home for the refund!

The (new) Little Mermaid - Reedy Ditch, Portland

And finally, we start a new series of photographs, this time Penguins. The good news is for our reader, there are only 7 of them. The final 3 manana.
